I have contemplated a career in nursing for many, many years so I finally decided to apply for the Concurrent Enrollment Program between Scottsdale Community College and Arizona State University.
I have always felt passionate about research writing and education, so my long-term goals include the completion of a doctorate in nursing or nurse practitioner program. In the future, I would love to be an educator within a nursing program such as SCC’s. Currently, I work full-time to support my long-term goals so your generous gift will not only help me financially in this exciting transition, but your support also reassures me that my path is true.
Over the years, I have been involved with many charitable foundations and fundraising events as a donor, and I believe that helping those around us is the key to our own success. Just as your scholarship is helping me to achieve my goals, I look forward to one day helping other achieve their goals by also establishing a nursing scholarship.
I once read that you will know you are on the right path when you challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone to build your skillset and capabilities, and that you will be excited about our journey regardless of its destination… I know that I am on the right path.
