Glendale Community College student Francisco Lagarda is a young man who lives life to his own rhythm. For now, he is a custodian, just like both his parents. He fully understands the daily struggle to make ends meet. Yet, he sees a different future for himself. His passion is music and believes self-expression is essential to a well-orchestrated life.
He took up the guitar when he was 12 years old and discovered his enthusiasm for classical guitar as a high school sophomore. Flamenco, jazz and classical music are his favorites. His dream is to earn a Ph.D. in Music Education. “I would like to teach all ages. Every student is unique, but music is universal and our gateway to express emotions that words cannot.”
