The PVCC Student Emergency Fund is restricted for support including food, housing, transportation, and other emergency needs as determined by the PVCC Counseling Office, Financial Aid Office, or Dean of Students Office. Students must meet the following eligibility requirements: Students may be referred by any college employee or may refer themselves to the PVCC Counseling Office, Financial Aid Office or the Dean of Students; Students must be officially enrolled in current semester as a PVCC student; Student must meet and speak with a counselor; Student must show a picture I.D. and pass verification (SIS) of enrollment; Student will demonstrate urgent and short-term financial need up to $200 (maximum one time per semester); Students must demonstrate that all other resource options have been exhausted, and Student will discuss and complete an action plan with the counselor and/or Dean of Students to help cope with individual situation.

In the instance of COVID19 or similar event, criteria and process will be adjusted to the following: The PVCC Student Emergency Fund is restricted for support including food, housing, transportation, and other emergency needs as determined by the PVCC Counseling Office, Financial Aid Office, or Dean of Students Office. Students must meet the following eligibility requirements: Students may be referred by any college employee or may refer themselves; Students must be officially enrolled in current semester as a PVCC student; Student must upload a copy of PVCC Student ID and pass verification (SIS) of enrollment; Student will demonstrate urgent and short-term financial need up to $300 (maximum one time per semester), and Student will expect to have a conversation with a counselor and/or Dean of Students to help cope with individual situation. Award decisions will be made by a committee at PVCC comprised of the Dean of Students, one representative from Financial Aid Office, one representative from the Office of Student Affairs, and one representative from the Counseling Office. Funding will be distributed by the Foundation.
