1. Area of study should be Architecture, Architecture Technology, 3D/CAD, Interior Design, etc. 2. Annual Scholarship awarded to a continuing full time student (12 units or more) a. in good standxing b. that has in the option of the Faculty & Director exibited, through her/his academic performance and submitted portfolio of Architectural Technology course work, an outstanding level of promise and future ProfessionaL achievement. 3. The student will apply for the scholarship and be chosen via the following process: a. A committee (comprised of either one faculty member, or two or more faculty and the donor), faculty to be appointed by the Director, will reviw all applications b. The donor will interview applicants and will select the finalist. 4. The scholarship will be a. Awarded each fall based on the selection of the recipient in the prior spring. b. Exclusively used by the selected condidate for payments toward full time academic tuition, books, fees and living expenses associated with the attending scholl full time. 5. The Scholarshpi will provide payout for a recipient until such time that the award exceeds 100% of the total cost of registration and fees for an academic year. When, at some future point, ther are greater funds available than students meeting the funds criteris, the award committee may, at its discretion: a. Award 100% of the available scholarship award payout to the recipient of the award. b. Choose to provide a second (and third, ad infinitum) award to an excellent Architecture student, or student intending to transfer to pursue a 4 year architecture degree. 6. The student recipients will work with the SCC Development Department to communicate their progress on an annual and ongoing basis. The recipient shall write a thank you letter addressed to "Dear Mr. Loope" thanking him for the gift and delineating his or her focus in school, relevant background and history intentions upon ompleting school and any other personally relevant information that the student feels comfortable sharing.
