Several years ago Anne and Terry Guerrant started a scholarship program for single mothers attending a community college in the Maricopa Community College system. Their scholarships support single mothers who are enrolled in specific certificate programs and learning skills that lead directly to high paying jobs. These programs can dramatically increase the student’s income without the time and financial commitment of a four-year degree. Additionally, Terry and Anne reached out to their philanthropic network to raise additional funds to match their generous philanthropic contributions, thereby amplifying the impact of their support.
