David Adame, President and Chief Executive Officer of Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. and State Farm, have been named as the 2020 honorees of the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation’s Heroes of Education award.  This award, celebrating its 15th anniversary, is given to champions of education in Arizona and recognizes those who have a proven personal and professional commitment to supporting students and educational opportunities. This is the first time that both an Individual Hero and Corporate Hero have been recognized. The event, Partnering for Workforce Success, will be held April 8, 2020 at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa in Paradise Valley, AZ.

Adame, leads the largest nonprofit community development organization in the Southwest, and is being honored for his longtime commitment to education and empowering students.  State Farm, with their passion for serving customers and giving back to communities, will be recognized for their continued generosity in providing numerous scholarships and programs across the Maricopa Community Colleges District.

A Heroes of Education Recognition Dinner Committee has been formed and includes Co-chairs Julie Rees, Secretary, Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation Board of Directors, Triadvocates Public Affairs, Kathleen Winn, Secretary Maricopa County Community College District Governing Board of Directors and Honorary Chairs, Deborah Carstens, Principal, Carstens Family Funds and Paul Luna, President and CEO, Helios Education Foundation.
