Judy Sanchez Honored with 2025 YWCA Tribute Leadership Award

The Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation (MCCF) is proud to announce Judy Sanchez, Chief Operating Officer, has been named a recipient of the prestigious 2025 YWCA Tribute to Leadership Award. This award recognizes Sanchez’s commitment to enriching the lives of women, girls, and people of color through her dedication to leadership, advocacy, and community service.

“I am dedicated to uplifting people who may face fewer opportunities, ensuring they have the resources, support, and empowerment needed to thrive because equity is not just about opening doors—it’s about breaking down barriers and building pathways to lasting success,” said Sanchez.

A Career Dedicated to Accessible Opportunities

With over two decades of service in the Maricopa Community Colleges system, Sanchez has dedicated her career to ensuring postsecondary education is affordable and accessible to students from all backgrounds. She began her tenure in 2000 at Glendale Community College as the Director of Development, a role she held for 14 years. Sanchez joined MCCF in 2014 as the Director of Development and College Relations, where she was instrumental in strengthening relationships with donors, college development teams, and external partners.

Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at MCCF, Sanchez leads efforts to provide critical support in fundraising, stewardship, cultivation, and donor and alumni relations across the system. Sanchez’s work reflects her commitment to creating equitable opportunities for education and ensuring the Valley is a better place where all individuals can thrive.
