Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is focused on helping students thrive, and is committed to providing scholarships and resources to help all students reach their educational goals. SCC prepares students to meet the evolving needs of the marketplace, helping them to transition from their college education to a lifetime of learning and sustainable employment. SCC is best known for being student centered, with a focus on active, engaged, and intellectually rigorous learning, and providing high quality, accessible educational opportunities and innovative teaching, learning, and support services.

Center for Native and Urban Wildlife

Funding supports advocacy and teaching responsible desert stewardship, and conservation of native and urban wildlife.

Artie's Fit Market Resource Pantry

Provides free resources to SCC students to improve their health, happiness, and academic success and is a reliable food source to SCC students who are experiencing food insecurity.

Gehler Student Emergency Fund

This fund, established by retired SCC President Dr. Jan Gehler and her husband Bill, provides students with financial support for essential expenses like rent, transportation, food, or childcare, hopefully to help prevent a student from taking the drastic step of dropping out of school.

Girls Get IT

Funding is needed to increase the number of 7- 12th grade females interested in pursuing a path into Information Technology by providing young women with access to professional women in fields like engineering, web design, program development, data analysis, and more.

Math Science Field Day

Funding to support scholarships and programming for a competitive day of math and science activities available to any student attending high school in Maricopa, along with all SCC students. Student project competitions are designed to encourage their desire to pursue a STEM career.

Service Learning

Funding supports opportunities for students to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences – through collaborations with faculty and community partners like non-governmental organizations or government agencies.

DeCabooter Family Scholarship

The DeCabooter Family Scholarship helps students pursue their dreams of obtaining a higher education; support helps to ensure that money is not a barrier to education.

Scottsdale Promise Program

Funding supports Scottsdale residents and students graduating from a Scottsdale-based high school who plan on attending SCC.

Other Opportunities
